Spring Nail trends 2014

From the hottest new shades to nail art and interesting polish combinations, the runways are where the latest manicure trends are taken for a spin. Here’s the  5 coolest nail ideas to try this Spring.

Bright White Mani

This is one of the hottest nail trends we’ll see in 2014, a white manicure loks great and can be worn all year round. It’s simple, fresh and young, yet edgy and chic. Brigh white nails have graced some of our favourite A-listers – Kim Kardashian, Jessie J & Miley Cyrus are all rocking a sexy white manicure. The only way to a good white nail is with a good polish – try OPI Alpine Snow.

Modern French Mani & Nude Pastels

The french manicure got a new look on the spring catwalks. The look that typically combines a pail polish with a bright whie tip, was replaced with a swipe of dark blue or black, positioned off to the side. This modern french mani looks great with silver too, but can be done with any colour. Pastels have grown up this season, as they come in more muted neautral shades. Think mink pink and purple, rich nude and soft pastel greys. Nude nails are a firm fixture this year.

Glitter Ombre, Simple Stripes & Half Moon Nail Art

This glittery look is oh so pretty, and combines 2 of our favourite things – ombre and sparkles! Looks great with dark silvers and greys, but can be done on other colours too. Simple stripe nail art was also seen on a lot of the Spring catwalks, this look with the bang on trend white nail colour and simple black stripe looks fab. Stripes were also done in sparkles too. This half moon mani was created using OPI’s Don’t Pretzel My Buttons and Alpine Snow, it looks great done in any colour!
