It’s the ultimate Awards Ceremony. The glitz, the glamour, the celebrities – The Oscars really do have it all. And it was a night for spectacular dresses, stunning jewellery and most importantly, fantastic Oscar hair styles. 

Here we take a look at some of the best hair styles at the Oscars 2013.


Short Hair Styles

Halle Berry displayed her trademark short hair at the Oscars in a naturally styled do. Her hair is slightly longer on the top, which was styled with some soft volume that added a little bit of height. She also displayed some blonde highlights through the tips of her hair which also lightened the style.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Charlize Theron with short hair. The stunning actress looked gorgeous with an all over blonde hair colour set against an amazing super short hair cut.

Ann Hathaway picked up an Oscar for  Best Supporting Actress for her role as Fantine in the box office smash, Les Miserables. She displayed her stunning pixie hair cut which is now starting to grow out making the pixie cut looked very soft and feminine.

Long Hair Styles at the Oscars

Jessica Chastain showed off her beautiful strawberry blonde hair styled in long and luscious Hollywood waves. Jessica looked like she’d added some extra length to her hair with additional hair extensions which really added to the glamour of her style.

Jennifer Hudson also seemed to be wearing long black hair extensions at the Oscars, which were styled in a long straight and sleek do with a full fringe.

Reece Witherspoon wore her long blonde hair styled in glamorous waves against a heavy set side parting, which is considerably on trend at the moment.

Up Do Hairstyles

Naomi Watts soft and natural up style looked gorgeous and encompassed the current hair trend of less is more. Her blonde hair looked effortlessly beautiful with a few loose tresses to really set the look off.

Jennifer Lawrence who took home the prestigious Academy Award for Best Actress looked stunning  in her floor length Dior Haute Couture gown and her simple yet incredibly stylish up do looked beautiful. Her Oscars hair style included a soft bun at the lower nape of her neck with some beautiful detail added in above the bun resembling a soft and elegant plait.

Amy Adams also wore a soft and elegant up style. Her hair was parted in a fashionable middle parting and her copper red hair was styled in a loose chignon hair style.
