the JDH Guide to Fringes for Spring Summer
Fringes will always be in fashion. For some they are a necessity for framing the face or making a long forehead appear more in proportion and for the remainder of us they are a must-have hair accessory for this Spring Summer!
The catwalk this season has brought us super short micro fringes, long side-swept fringes, blunt fringes and even FAKE FRINGES! Now we’ve seen it all! Here we share the Fringes that have delighted us the most.
Marion Cotillard shows us how she works her textured micro fringe.
On the Miu-Miu Catwalk for Spring Summer this year we see a short, slightly feathered cropped fringe.
Lastly for the micro fringes we have Rooney Mara who went from a strong blunt straight cut fringe to this super short blunt micro fringe.
Jennifer Lopez wears her long shaggy fringe to perfection. Her fringe frames her face beautifully and is very flattering on the Star.
TOWIE star and “Fashionista” Lydia Bright updates her side swept fringe with a blunt choppy fringe which is a much younger style on the actress.
Nicole Richie wears her trademark long choppy fringe. Nicole’s fringe looks great with hair as long as hers and blends perfectly into her surfer wavy hair perfect for the beach.
Helena Christensen shows us how good her heavy side-swept fringe looks with her tanned complexion and glossy chocolate brown hair.
Kelly Brook wows us with her side fringe. This is a dramatically different look for Kelly and she really suits the softer hairstyle.
Topshop Unique catwalk displayed the grown out fringe look which is a great alternative for those wanting to grow their fringe out and still look on trend.
Ashlee Simpson looks great with her long face-framing blunt fringe. Ashlee looks very innocent and girly with this hairstyle.
Jameela Jamil has slightly parted her short blunt fringe resulting in a very sexy, sultry hairstyle.
Kim Kardashian FINALLY ditches the FAKE fringe wefts and cuts in a real fringe for us. Kim looks fantastic as always but we’re so glad she quit teasing us and finally chopped in some “bangs” !
Louise Brooks was the “it girl” of the 1920s. Louise is also notorious for starting the bob haircut trend which was a hugely bold cut for her time. Many celebs followed suit, and now it seems not only was Louise iconic for her “bob” but also for her “micro-fringe” now that’s a trendsetter!
Last for the micro fringes is Pixie Geldof. Now we have decided Pixie’s hair cut is a love/hate hairstyle with a lot of us sitting on the fence. While some may describe the hairstyle as harsh others may describe it as striking. We will leave it up to you to make up your own mind on Pixie’s Peroxide Do!
Prada shows us how the fringe trend can be faked. This is a slightly more obvious fakery stunt that Kim K who had us convinced she had cut in some bold bangs! Prada fakes a textured micro fringe.
