Autumn 2013 hair trend report

Autumn 2013 hair trend report

With Autumn just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about how to wear your hair this Fall. Here is our pick of the top hair trends, that graced the catwalks.

The low ponytail trend is back for another season – this is low maintainance hair, but super stylish at the same time. Wear your pony low, glossy and super straight or why not add some texture or curl to transform your ponytail from day to night style. Victoria Beckham used a lot of pony hair styles in her Autumn/Winter catwalk shows.

Glamorous 70’s style waves were given a 40’s twist, with side partings and hair worn flat to the head at the top. Gwen Stefani rocks her super sized waves.

A good fringe never goes out of style. This Autumn any fringe style goes – from full on 60’s fringe, to choppy side swept fringe. A full fat fringe works well with a bob. Don’t want to commit to a blunt cut fringe? Opt for a peek-a-boo fringe a la Daisy Lowe – we love her messy Bardot style and choppy fringe.

Sophisticated and lady like updos are bang on trend. Modern classics such as beehives, french twists and buns will guarantee you turn heads this Autumn. These looks are the top of our hair lust list.

Caught in the rain, wet look hair locks were popping up on all the major catwalks. To achieve this look simply apply some wet look gel to the roots and brush straight back for a great swept back finish. This trend works well with shorter, cropped hair too.

The ombre hair colour trend lives on, as we are not quite ready to give up on the dip dye look just yet. Anything goes with this hair colour trend, so keep experimenting with colours and find your signature style. We love this cinammon to soft gold ombre – perfect for blondes fancying a change. Or if you’re a brunette why not try Sandra Bullock’s ombre colour of dark brown to mahogany. We just love Alexa Chung’s colour – she is the queen of ombre colour!
