It’s been cold of late in Aberdeen and we are very much keeping to our winter skin care and wellness routine. Our spa team have been putting their heads together to give some top winter weather skin care and wellness saviors whilst we eagerly await the return of spring!
We have nine spa therapists at James Dun’s House Aberdeen and collectively they have many years of experience in spa and beauty. Great skin is all about balance and our team here can recommend many Aveda products and salon services to help you achieve your great skin goals:
“My favourite winter saviour is our perfecting plant peel. I like to use this during our express facials and it can be added to any facial service. It’s Aveda’s plant based alternative to a 30% glycolic peel. It softens the skin, provides instant exfoliation and radiance benefits. It’s a must when booking a facial!”
“During winter months I like to focus on keeping my eye area firm and refreshed, especially after the festive period. I would recommend Tulasara eye wedding masque. It works overnight to renew & firm the look around the eyes. All you need to do is massage it around the eye alternating between your middle & ring fingers using firm pressure under the brow bone.”
“My focus during colder days is deep lasting moisture. For this I use botanical kinetics intense hydrating cream. Apply a coin sized amount, starting at the chin, sweep the product across your face moving over the cheeks, nose & forehead.”
“One of the best things for great skin is a great night’s sleep and reducing stress! I help myself into sleep using the stress fix range from Aveda, the lavender aroma helps to keep things calm.”
“My favourite is hand relief moisturising cream – it’s important to give your hands the TLC they deserve. This is an ultra-rich hand cream that deeply moisturises hands to leave them soft, smooth and silky. It has a fabulous refreshing aroma with organic orange, lavandin and eucalyptus. Also pairs really with the hand relief night renewal serum.”
“For those who want to keep skin smooth and firm I would recommend using Tulasara firm concentrate during colder months. Use one / two pumps and gently press and massage this into the skin focusing on lines & wrinkles.”
“On colder days I really enjoy the intensive hydrating masque – treat your skin to a nice long drink, a great oil free masque that hydrates and cools skin, providing soothing relief from dryness, stress and exposure to the elements.”
“Festive late nights take their toll on your skin. To combat eye circles and puffiness I like to use Energising Eye Cream! This freshens the look of skin around the eyes.”
“I love to use oils during winter to protect my skin and give my complexion a nice glow. I particularly like Aveda’s beautifying oil because of the aroma. It’s a fantastic all-round product for cleansing and moisturising.”
